Sacraments

Baptism:
Baptisms are scheduled the second Sunday of the month at 11am Mass except during Lent. Contact the parish office for more information.

Eucharist:
Children are prepared for the reception of the Eucharist in the second grade. The preparation process is a 2 year program. If your child is past the 2nd grade, please call Alice Mastin, DRE at 586-792-1276 ext. 226.

Reconciliation:
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available every Saturday at 3:30pm or by appointment.

Sacrament of the Sick:
If you would like to receive the Sacrament of the Sick, please contact the parish office at 586-792-1190 to set up an appointment. Anointing of the Sick is also celebrated on the 1st Sunday of every month after the 11am mass.

Marriage:
Marriage preparation is done on an individual basis according to the needs of the couple. Sessions could include a weekend stay at St. John Center, an all day Saturday at a neighboring parish, and home visits with a host couple. To begin the preparation process, please contact the Parish Office at 586-792-1190 at least 6 months before the wedding.

Confirmation:
Teens are prepared to receive the sacrament in the fall of their 9th grade year. For a 9th grader to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, they must be in a Religious Education grades 1-8. Any questions, please contact Alice Mastin, Director of Religious Education at 586-792-1276.
