Rev. Mr. Franz Hoffer
My name is Franz Hoffer and I’m the Deacon at St. Ronald’s. I was born in Stuttgart, Germany to Franz (d. 1995) and Helene on February 21, 1954 and have an older brother, Peter (married with two children). My family immigrated to Southeast Michigan in 1961. I’m married to Arlene and we have two grown children, Joy Yokes (husband Tony) and Eric (wife Jackie). Arlene is a Medical Assistant and our children are teachers; Joy is an Elementary School Teacher and Eric is a High School Music Instructor. I have a BS in Business Management from Oakland University (84), an MBA from Lawrence Technological University (97), and a MAPS (Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies) Degree (08) from Sacred Heart Major Seminary. I was ordained a Deacon at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament by His Eminence Cardinal Adam Maida on October 6, 2007. I have been involved in ministries at assisted living facilities, Hospitals, Soup Kitchens, Evangelization efforts, Bible Study, Music Ministry, Lector, MCREST, Habitat for Humanity, Foster Children, Abused Children, and even a Motorcycle Ministry. I have several hobbies or outside interests, the biggest of which is trucks and motorcycles. I love all kinds of music and play the trumpet and bass guitar for enjoyment. I am an avid sports fan. Deacons represent Christ the servant. If I can be of any assistance or if you just care to talk, contact me via phone at 586-792-1190 (x-400), or e-mail at fhoffer999@comcast.net.
