St. Vincent de Paul Society
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul strives to serve all who come to its doors seeking help. We do not discriminate on the basis of skin color, background, or faith, and we collaborate with other organizations to empower people to achieve self-sufficiency.
As Vincentians, we are called to serve one another, and we are blessed to share our time, talents, and treasures with those in need.
We are part of an international organization, founded in Paris, France in 1833. To learn more about our national organization and its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, go to our national website at http://www.svdpusa.org
St. Vincent de Paul Society; December 2011
“For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you clothed me,
I was sick and you visited me,
I was in prison and you came to me.”
(Matthew 25:35-36)
Clothing Drive:
The Annual Clothing Drive takes place in the fall each year. The Society accepts gently used clothing from the community. A SVdP truck is parked in the Sanctuary of Clinton Villa parking lot for one weekend.
Contact Us:
Call the parish office and leave a voice mail message. A Vincentian Volunteer will respond.
Contribute:
Contribute funds to support the St. Ronald Conference SVdP Society. 100% of the donations received will go directly to help those seeking assistance.
Food Donations:
Parish members are encouraged to bring canned goods and paper products for those in need each week. We distribute these items at the local Food Pantry and local Paper Pantry on a weekly basis.
Holiday Program:
The St. Ronald SVdP Conference, in conjunction with St. Ronald’s Church, sponsors The Holiday Assistance Program which helps those in need by providing food and gifts during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Mission Statement:
The Society’s mission is to help people in need survive whatever crisis they are facing – financial, medical, emotional, or spiritual – and “get back on their feet.” Direct aid or assistance is at the center of the work of the local Conferences. Assistance is offered on a personal basis and is provided with respect and dignity.
