Altar Sodality - Sue Schmidt - 586-465-1555 - Email Sue

The Altar Sodality ministry strives to attain personal holiness through public and private donation. They promote activities to enrich parish fellowship.

They are responsible for the care and cleaning of the altar, linens and vestments, as well as arranging decorations for all Church seasons.

 

Gardening - Joanne Romain – Parish Office 586-792-1190 - Email Joanne

A group of parishioners who assist in the maintaining of the outdoor plants and flowers that enhance the landscape around the church.

The volunteers select a small section on the church grounds and maintain plants and flowers in that section from spring to fall.

 

Maintenance Committee - Tony Mannino – 586-291-2951 - Email Tony

The Committee works together on projects around the Parish, which includes doing minor repairs around the building and on the property.

Experience is not necessary, but would be helpful. The Committee meets every other month on a Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m.

 

Men's Club - Mike St. Onge - 586-914-0790 - Email Mike

The Men's Club is a group of men who dedicate their time and resources to the parish. The Men's Club has a strong commitment to the Parish and invite all adult men to join the group.

Activities that they sponsor include (but are not limited to): scholarships, community supper, Lenten fish fries and pancake breakfasts. The men also help with many maintenance and repair projects.

The Club meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish hall.

 

Prayer Shawl Ministry - _____________________________

The Prayer Shawl ministry meets every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. to create knitted or crocheted shawls for those who are suffering physically or emotionally. The prayer shawls are prayed over when being crafted. A prayer card is provided with each shawl.

The group includes both members and non-members of St. Ronald Church. It is a time for togetherness.

 

Senior Cards - _____________________________________

Currently inactive. Seniors meet every Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. to play pinochle and share good fellowship. Occasionally lunch is provided.

 

Sisters In Spirit - Dora Hopko 586-668-9841 - Email Dora

A group of women of the Parish and community who gather together on the third Thursday of each month to grow in faith, to develop and strengthen friendships, and to work as a group to serve the needs of the Parish, Community and society. This group organizes annual events to support the parish or organizations either through donations of time or talent, such as Carmelite Nuns, Covenant House, Gianna House, Veterans in Macomb County, MCREST, Men's Club Fish Fry's and Advent Tea. Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul strives to serve all who come to its doors seeking help. This group is a registered non-profit organization.

 

 Wedding Coordinator - Mike St. Onge 586-914-0190 - Email Mike

Coordinators meet with engaged couples to direct their wedding rehearsal and be present on the day of their wedding to see that everything runs smoothly.

Each wedding requires approximately 5 hours of time, divided between the couple's rehearsal and the wedding day.

Training will be provided.

 

 Widowed Friends - ________________________________________

Widowed Friends is a faith-based peer support group dedicated to assisting widowed men and women, within the boundaries of the Archdiocese of Detroit, in coping with the loss of a spouse.

The group offers empathetic companionship and the opportunity for healing, spiritual development, education, social activities and wonderful new growth.
